Gameplay comes in two styles: In control of the ambitious hero Jack Driscoll, players fight for their own survival from a first-person perspective, while in the empowering role of the mighty Kong himself, players have a third-person perspective that allows them to take in their surroundings, and take better control the massive ape in battle. Developed in conjunction with Jackson and his production company, the game also features scenes and locations not seen in the film.

Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is a first person shooter action adventure game based on the 2005 film King Kong. It is a collaboration between the film's director Peter Jackson and famed videogame designer Michel Ancel (Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil), remarkable in that such true cross-medium creative partnerships are rare in the realm of game development. It was released on sixth generation platforms on November 17, 2005, as well as a mobile version also released in Winter 2005, developed by Gameloft. In the United States, the Game Boy Advance version is titled Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World. All film cast members reprise their roles.

Gameplay:
In the game, the player assumes the roles of both New York scriptwriter Jack Driscoll and the giant gorilla, Kong as they struggle to survive the threats of Skull Island in 1933.This game is exhibitive of an industry trend to de-emphasize the role of Heads-Up Displays: it lacks a life bar, aiming visor and ammunition readout (the ammo readout, and aiming visor, can be turned on and off at the player's will.), further adding to the challenge and encouraging the player to find alternate weapons and techniques.

    * in game directory find "kingkongp.exe".
    * In properties set compatibility of "kingkongp.exe" as xp sp2 and mark on run as administrator.
    * then crack the game.
    * now set compatibility for xp sp2 and administrator of the shotcut at desktop named "Peter Jackson's King Kong - The Official Game of the Movie Settings" .
    * check properties of "kingkongp.exe" now in game directory if its compatibility is xp sp2 and administrator then press ok.
    * otherwise make it xp sp2 and administrator again.
    * now run "sfdvup.exe" ie. you have downloaded from the Windows 7 Patch link.
    * enjoy game in window 7.
